Data protection declaration
The ems-training.de services GmbH as operator of the website www.ems-training.com takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and therefore treats them in accordance with the legal data protection regulations. Below you will find information on which data is collected during your visit or use of our website and how it is used.
2 Collecting, processing and transmitting data
a. Access data
Personal access data will only be recorded as log files when visiting our web pages to the extent that is technically necessary (name of the requested file, date and time of access, transferred data volume, notification of successful browser type including browser version, the user's operating system, referrer URL and the requesting provider that the user's browser automatically transmits). This data cannot be assigned to specific individuals and is not combined with data from other sources.
b. Usage data
Beyond the access data, EMS-TRAINING.com collects, processes and uses personal data only insofar as they are necessary for the justification, content or modification of the legal relationship (inventory data). We collect, process and use personal data about the use of our Internet pages (usage data) only to the extent that this is necessary to enable or charge the user for the use of the service.
c. Use of personal data
Personal data that you provide to us via the website (e. g. name, address, e-mail) will only be processed for correspondence with you and only for the purpose for which you have provided us with the data.
In addition, we will use this data to inform you about new products or services and other services that may be of interest to you, if you have given your specific consent. You can revoke this consent or the consent to the occasional application at any time.
We assure you that we will not pass on your personal data to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so or you have given us your prior consent.
Insofar as we use service providers for the execution and handling of business processes, the contractual relationships are regulated in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDGS).
d. Transmission of data
We only transfer personal data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the contract, e. g. to the credit institutions charged with the processing of payments.
Further transmission of the data does not take place or only if you have expressly consented to the transmission. Your data will not be passed on to third parties without your express consent, e. g. for advertising purposes.
We use so-called cookies to optimise our websites. These serve to make our offer more user-friendly, effective and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser. Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies", which are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Cookies do not damage your computer and contain no viruses.
4 Integration of services and contents of third parties
Our website may contain third-party content such as videos, maps, RSS feeds, graphics or similar content from other websites. In order to display embedded content, it is necessary to collect the IP address of users from these third party providers. We make every effort to use only those contents whose providers use the IP address of the users only to deliver the contents. However, we have no influence on whether third parties store IP addresses for other purposes (e. g. statistics). As far as we know, we inform our users about this.
5 Facebook social plugins
Plugins of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on our website. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like" button on our site. An overview of the Facebook plugins can be found here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is sent directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website. Therefore, we have no influence on the amount of data that Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore inform you according to our knowledge:
By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that you have visited the corresponding page of our website.
If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to your Facebook account.
If you interact with plugins (e. g. click the “Like” button or leave a comment), the corresponding information is sent directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there.
If you are not a Facebook member, there is still a chance that Facebook will find out your IP address and save it.
If you are a Facebook member and do not want Facebook to collect information about you through our website and link it to your Facebook membership information, you must log out of Facebook before you visit our website.
Further settings and contradictions regarding the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
6 Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. When activating the IP anonymisation on this website, however, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address is transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services associated with website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
We also use Google Analytics to evaluate data from AdWords and the double-click cookie for statistical purposes. If you do not want this to happen, you can disable it using the Ads Preferences Manager at https://www.google.com/settings/ads/plugin?hl=en.

9 Retargeting functions
a. Google and YouTube
We use some of the retargeting and remarketing functions of Google and YouTube on our websites. This technology enables Internet users who have previously received or clicked on Google or YouTube advertising from us to access our partners' websites with customised advertising. For this purpose, Google or YouTube stores a cookie on your hard drive. In these cookies, usage information is stored in a pseudonymised form, such as which advertisements you have received from us or clicked on, which products you have viewed, whether something has been purchased, etc., are stored. The anonymised data will never be combined with your personal data at any time and is used exclusively for the purpose of promoting the interests of the respective user.
You can contradict the use of the retargeting or remarketing function of Google or YouTube on the following page: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb
These pages use Facebook's website custom audiences, 1601 South Carolina Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. When you visit some of our pages, your browser will load a retargeting pixel from Facebook. This will inform Facebook that you have visited our site with your IP address. We use the functions to target visitors of our website with targeted advertising (facebook ads).
These pages use Twitter's "Tailored Audiences" remarketing function (Twitter Inc., 1355 Market Street Suite 9000, San Francisco, CA 94103, USA). Using these features, we can target visitors to the website with targeted advertising by placing personalised, interest-based ads for you when you visit Twitter. Twitter uses tags to analyse website usage, on which the creation of interest-related advertisements is based. These tags are used to record visits to the website and information about the use of the website. When a user visits a website containing a tag, Twitter places a cookie in the user's browser. The unique ID of this cookie is recorded and included in the target group for remarketing on Twitter. If you visit Twitter afterwards, you will be shown advertisements that most likely include previously visited product and information areas.
If you don't want Twitter to address you with targeted advertising, you can disable this feature on Twitter. Twitter also supports the Do Not Track (DNT) option. If you have enabled the DNT option in your browser, Twitter will not associate your account with browser-related information about DNT to create custom ads for you. Here you can find more information about DNT and how to enable this option in your browser.
If you would like to subscribe to the newsletter offered on the website, we need your e-mail address and information that will allow us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided.
