Courthouse Club Fitness - Salem

We got a membership with the idea of working out and swimming and using the Jacuzzi for our sore muscles. Ever since we got our membership , jacuzzi has been broke in our gym. I guess we could go to another gym or that Jacuzzi works.But why should we, when it's our home gym close to where we live..And we will also rented our own lockers, which cost us money every month, as well to be right there and enjoy the Jacuzzi, but he's been broken for 6 months or longer.And every time we ask for an answer , we get nowhere. Plus we've been charged a few times for towels that we never even took. Some of the staff has been nice , but some have been hard to deal with because they're asked questions about things getting fixed around there. Other things have been shut down and no warning , so it's really hard to use a gym , and there's so many things breaking down or need fixed and they're taking out a hundred dollars from each of us every month. With so many people that go there and all the money they collect , you would think that things would be fixed all the time. At this point I can't wait for our membership to be up.I wish we could get some of our money back , but they're not going to do that , they don't care. Add this point.I'll get better results with writing my bike and swimming in nearby lakes and kayaking. Win winter comes Look for another membership.That doesn't take all my money and promise me things.And then lies about it. So sad over this and just done.

Stop hating on these hardworking men smh the courthouse is the best gym in west, and if you complain about pricing or being charged for something you signed up for, maybe use ur eyes and read. Me personally I’ve had 0 issues with these guys and they always over deliver. Good stuff to every single staff member here.

Staff told me several times at West that I can only close my membership in person. Had to find out from someone at Battle Creek that they were misleading me. December: I go on Courthouse App to close my membership. It says it went through. I find out in February that they “are not finding a request.” Took me from October - March (hopefully) to get my membership closed. Do NOT get sucked in to it. They will take advantage of every possibility to keep you in contract. Do NOT donate to this failing company. Please let them fail as it is the consequences of their actions.

When it comes to caring for members and our local community the company cares only for the bottom line, money. I am a disabled veteran and lost a job due to injury. Instead of taking care to ensure health and wellness is a primary concern, the company not only withdrew funds from my account leaving me negative but then added an annual fee after I had canceled my membership. I would have returned to the club after my recover but to see how only money is their concern , it breaks my heart and will not be returning.

Not even 1 star! I joined because it is closest to my home. Literally the NEXT day I was let go from my employer. I went to 1 fitness class to "check it out" and then signed my year contract. Yes it's a contract, however, we are humans and have a little compassion. Literally next day I tried to cancel membership and manager or corporate would do NOTHING to help me out. Now they sent me to collections because I signed up for one year and only went the one time. Credit worthiness dropping for this and it's absurd, I could see if I was months into the contract, but one day?! What are the odds of that happening? Well it happened to me and nobody there has a heart. All they see are dollar signs. Worst customer service experience and corporation. No compassion what so ever. Would love to stay but can't afford that luxury at this time. When I am back on my feet I will not consider this establishment.
