Tucked discreetly behind the grand terraces of Belgravia, The Emory feels less like a traditional luxury hotel and more like a private sanctuary designed for travellers who appreciate restraint over spectacle. In a city where five-star hospitality often leans heavily into heritage and theatrical opulence, The Emory offers something rarer: contemporary calm wrapped in exceptional design. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is composed and quietly confident. The architecture is striking without being ostentatious, a modern interpretation of London luxury shaped by clean lines, warm textures, and an abundance of natural light. Interiors feel curated rather than decorated, balancing art, craftsmanship, and understated elegance with remarkable precision. One of the hotel’s most memorable experiences is afternoon tea, served with the same thoughtful attention that defines the rest of the property. The setting itself is serene and refined, making it an ideal escape from the pace of Knightsbridge just beyond the doors. Service is polished and intuitive throughout: attentive without intrusion, professional yet warmly personal. The tea selection is particularly impressive, featuring a carefully chosen range of blends that cater to both traditionalists and more adventurous palates. Delicate white teas, fragrant herbal infusions, and robust classic blends are presented with genuine expertise, accompanied by beautifully executed pastries and savouries that feel contemporary rather than overly ceremonial. What distinguishes The Emory most is its sense of quiet exclusivity. There is no need for excessive grandeur because every detail from the architecture to the pacing of service speaks softly but confidently of quality. For visitors seeking a sophisticated London retreat with impeccable design and one of the capital’s most elegant tea experiences, The Emory delivers with effortless style.

Another marvellous visit to the Emory bar. It’s a beautiful space, with some of the finest views in London. Drinks are exquisite, whether from their imaginative menu or the classics. Impeccable service on every level. The bar is open to people not staying at the Emory. You’ll have fun finding it too. (The cigar lounge is also a lovely place to visit, should you be a fan of that particular weed.)

By far one of the best hotels in London. It is my favourite. The staff really go above and beyond here and I could not recommend this enough. Me and my sister had an amazing Christmas stay here and it was probably our third time staying at The Emory. Each time it just gets better. The spa facilities are beautiful and the therapists are knowledgeable. Check in to the hotel itself was a breeze and the room…well it speaks for itself, just beautiful! Thanks to everyone at The Emory. We will be back for sure!

Room 4009/ I would like to commend the service team, as all of my requests were handled promptly and efficiently. However, as a returning guest who has stayed at Maybourne Group hotels three times in the past month, I must express my disappointment with the room. The view directly faced the windows of a neighbouring building, which resulted in a total lack of natural light and privacy. I was forced to keep the curtains closed at all times, leaving the room dark throughout my stay. I found this to be unacceptable, truly.

Beautiful stay at The Emory. Loved the delicious pastries from Cedric Grolet in the rooms, the fitness classes at Surrene, and many meals at abc kitchens. The rooms were exceptionally well appointed and the team was super responsive and helpful over text. The pool and sauna / steam made it even better.
